Brennen Wilder
Treasurer
Brennen Wilder is a senior majoring in Accounting. Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Brennen has been actively involved in campus life, serving as the former president of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity and helping establish the Ascend Run Club at UAB as one of its first members, where he continues to run weekly. Professionally, Brennen has completed internships with Warren Averett and the Jefferson County Treasurer’s Office, and he will return to Warren Averett in Spring 2026 for a tax internship. After earning his undergraduate degree, he plans to pursue a Master of Accounting and sit for the CPA exam. His long-term goal is to attend law school and become a tax attorney. Outside of school and work, Brennen enjoys running, staying active in his community, and exploring opportunities that combine leadership, service, and professional growth.
Ellie Knippers
Social Chair
Ellie is a a senior accounting major from Hoover, AL and is most intersted in tax. She recently completed an internship with Warren Averett, focusing on estate and trust tax, and she also has an upcoming internship with Pearce, Bevill, Leesburg, Moore, P.C. After graduation, she plans to pursue a Master of Accounting and sit for the CPA exam. Outside of academics, she is passionate about animal welfare- and fosters and rehabilitates animals in need.
Kali Lotankar
Mentorship Chair
Kali is a senior finance major from Cumming, GA and currently works at Bettis Law Group. She is involved in Sigma Sigma Rho where she is the treasurer. She is also part of the UAB pre law program where she is the fundraising chair. Outside of school, Kali loves to socialize with friends, get coffee, and work out.
Mary Ella Edmonds
Webmaster/Social Media
Mary Ella is a senior accounting major originally from Huntsville, AL. During her time at UAB, she has completed an administrative internship with Pearce, Bevill, Leesburg, Moore P.C. and has worked as an accounting tutor in the Collat School of Business. After graduation, she plans to pursue her Master of Accounting and CPA license. Outside of school, she enjoys live music, singing, graphic design, and spending time with her sorority, Alpha Xi Delta. She joined Beta Alpha Psi as a candidate her junior year and was initiated in the spring. She is excited and grateful to spend her senior year serving as Webmaster-Social Media!
Kamdi Akwuba
Executive Assistant
Kamdi is a sophomore from Montgomery, AL. She is double majoring in Accounting and Finance, minoring in Psychology, and plans to enroll in the Accelerated Bachelor's/Master's Program to obtain her Master of Accounting. At UAB, Kamdi is in the Honors College, an IT Analyst for the Green and Gold Fund, and a member of the USGA Freshman Forum. She is also a member of the Financial Management Association and works in the Collat School of Business’ Professional Education department as a Program Coordinator. Outside of school, she tutors K-12 students and coaches gymnastics. After graduation, she plans to obtain her CPA license. In her free time, Kamdi enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and coaching cheer and gymnastics.
Cheshta Patel

Cheshta Patel is a freshman Accounting major from Albertville, AL. She is a student within the Honors College, and she wants to obtain her CPA after graduation. She is involved in the Green and Gold Fund, Blazaraas, and Indian Cultural Association. From 2024 to 2025, she interned at MDA Professional Group to gather accounting experience, and she is currently doing payroll and bookkeeping for TaxEase.
Chase Smith

Chase is a freshman accounting major from Muscle Shoals, AL. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Accounting, he plans to also get his Master's degree. In the future, Chase plans to sit for the CPA exam. Outside of classes, he enjoys the outdoors and spending time with friends.
Morgan Xie
Executive Assistant
Morgan is a freshman Finance major from Clanton, Alabama. At UAB, she is an active member of the Honors College, Green Team, Freshmen Forum, the Green and Gold Fund, and Alpha Xi Delta. Morgan plans to enroll in the Accelerated Bachelor’s/Master’s Program to earn both degrees by the spring of 2029. Beyond academics, she enjoys traveling, shopping, going on coffee runs, and volunteering in her community. This is her first semester as a member of Beta Alpha Psi, and she is thrilled to serve as an executive assistant, further developing her leadership and professional skills.
