New York Trip

Tentative Plans

  • Saturday, March 9, 2019 – Travel to NYC; check into hotel and tour Top of the Rock

  • Sunday, March 10 – morning tour 9/11 Memorial and Museum; afternoon open, but some small group sight-seeing outings will be planned

  • Monday, March 11 – morning tour the Financial District (Wall Street area)

  • Monday, March 11 – lunch at Fraunces Tavern – opened in 1762; George Washington gave farewell address to his officers at end of Revolutionary War inside the restaurant.

  • Monday, March 11 – afternoon tour the Federal Reserve Bank of New York

  • Tuesday, March 12 – morning sightseeing; afternoon tour of the Morgan Library and Museum

  • Tuesday, March 12 – evening Broadway Play followed by dinner

  • Wednesday, March 13 – morning train to Norwalk, CT to visit FASB headquarters; afternoon visit National Office of Deloitte in Stamford, CT; train back to NYC

  • Thursday, March 14 – morning visit to NYC office of RSM; afternoon return to Birmingham

Cost

Approximately $950 plus flight and some meals

Cost includes:

  • Hotel (double occupancy; cost may be reduced if more than 2 people share a room)

  • Breakfast at hotel everyday

  • City Pass for tours of the sights to be visited; admission to Morgan Library

  • Ticket to Broadway play and dinner afterwards

  • Transportation to/from Connecticut

Flights

Responsibility of individuals; a group driving to Atlanta to fly to NYC may save substantially on cost.
